Cesar Avila

I am a senior double majoring in International Studies and Foreign Language & International Economics. My focuses within my degrees are on Comparative Politics in Latin America and the French language, respectively. I love traveling and seeing new people and places. Originally from Chicago, Illinois and Phoenix, Arizona, I moved to Lexington my senior year of high school and have loved the small town I've grown to call home.

Apart from my ambassador program I am currently the President of the Society of International Studies and a Service Manager at Chipotle. I studied abroad my entire junior year, traveling to France in the Fall of 2019 and to Argentina in the Spring of 2020. I aim to fully immerse myself as a global citizen and saw two very distinct places particular to my studies. After college I aim to continue my studies at the University of Kentucky's Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce and one day become an Economics Foreign Service Officer.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about the College of Arts & Science or the Society of International Studies!
