Lauren Baer

I’m Lauren Baer, a sophomore Psychology and Sociology major on a pre-med track here at UK. I am an out-of-state student from the small town of Highland, Illinois. My older sister went to college here, so I couldn’t wait to be the next wildcat in my family. Besides my involvement in the College of Arts & Sciences, I am a member of the Panhellenic Community representing Kappa Delta Sorority and a member of the medical fraternity, Phi Delta Epsilon. I am also an intern for the College of Arts and Sciences where I get to work with some amazing people!

I have the hopes of continuing my education through medical school and eventually becoming a forensic psychiatrist. I am an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Oser's GATE and SPECs project which deals with opioid use disorder and its FDA approved treatments in a criminal justice setting.

If you ever need help with scheduling classes, questions about the pre-med track, or just need someone to talk to, feel free to reach out to me! I know that being on a large campus can feel overwhelming at first, but finding organizations that you are interested in helps you find friendships and places of comfort in Big Blue Nation.
