Becky Yarrison

Biography:

I am an Asst. Professor in the College of Medicine (Depts. of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics) with cross-appointments in the Colleges of Nursing and Arts & Sciences (Dept. of Philosophy) and a clinical ethicist with UK Healthcare.  I received my PhD in Philosophy (clinical ethics track) and Certificate in the Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality from Rice University in 2009.  I joined the faculty at the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine in 2008 and came to UK in 2012.

At UK, I provide clinical ethics consultation, administer the KY Healthcare Ethics Consortium, assist in ethics-related policy development and teach in a variety of capacities, including undergraduate philosophy (Health Care Ethics), medical students, faculty/resident noon conferences and the UK Program for Bioethics' Graduate Student Internship.
